INTERNSHIPS
Monitoring and Evaluation Internship
Trickle Up seeks interns to support the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in New York City. Interns gain valuable working experience in poverty reduction and program monitoring and evaluation, as well as the chance to work with a committed, highly skilled and fun program team. Trickle Up provides a friendly and flexible work environment. Program internships are unpaid.
Internship tasks will include:
- Analyzing quantitative data to assess program performance, including longitudinal data and running and interpreting correlations.
- Conducting research, including on contextual information about Trickle Up’s geographic areas of work.
Writing and editing reports and memos to make quantitative and qualitative data easily understandable to general audiences.
Assisting with data management, cleaning of data, and quality control.
Successful candidates will:
- Have a relevant MA (or be currently enrolled in same or have equivalent relevant experience)
Have excellent writing and rigorous analytical skills
Have advanced quantitative skills, including knowledge of statistical programs (applicants without strong quantitative skills will also be considered for research and qualitative analysis tasks)
Be very detail-oriented
Demonstrate a basic understanding of poverty reduction work
Enjoy working with minimal supervision and be a self-starter
Be able to commit at least 10 hours a week for at least 3 months
French or Spanish skills would be a bonus.
